CPAA members and city maintenance employees joined forces recently to work on the trailer to be used as a Command Center in the event of emergency in Hood County. The trailer was donated to the Alumni association specifically for use in the CERT program by First National Bank of Granbury.
Workers were busy removing signage and making the unit ready to receive new CERT signs. The front bedroom was removed to make way for an office for the Operations Commander to use in the field. The office will contain a desk and communication equipment. A utility trailer was also donated from the impound lot to haul agenerator and other emergency equipment being purchased through a grant. Jerry Durant Toyota of Weatherford donated the F150 Ford to be used to pull the trailers. |
